Murder in Company – May

This was the Parlour Players first real production in May of the year following their formation.  The play was appropriately about an Amateur Dramatic Society rehearsing in a church hall, and required no set.  It was written by Philip King and John Boland, and directed by Theo Spring.  Of the cast of eight, only Sylvia Trickey is still a member of the Parlour Players, last appearing on stage in Roses of Eyam in November 2000. However the penultimate picture shows the stage crew, featuring in the centre a youthful looking Terry Currion as Stage Manager, and he of course is still a member along with wife Linda, the current Wardrobe mistress!

The first photo features the cast and Director as follows: Standing l-r: Colin Jones, Tony Haddon, Roger Curtis, Theo Spring (Director), Helena McKinnon, Delia Wells (Make-up), Sarah Bloxam, Gordon MacCallum: front kneeling  Sylvia Trickey & Kathy Chapman
